Radhika Merchant gave her first-ever interview following her second round of pre-wedding celebrations aboard a Mediterranean cruise. The daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant and businesswoman Shaila Merchant is set to marry Anant Ambani, the youngest son of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and philanthropist Nita Ambani. The extravagant festivities spanned four days and included hundreds of guests, including family and friends.
Speaking to Vogue, Radhika expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming wedding, which is scheduled to be held at Mumbai's Jio World Convention Centre in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The bride-to-be said, "I’m very excited to be married." discussing the ongoing preparations and hinting at additional celebrations, noting that everything is progressing smoothly.
The couple marked their second round of pre-wedding festivities with a lavish four-day cruise in the Mediterranean. Their celebration hosted 1,200 guests, including family, friends, and colleagues from Reliance Industries, Encore Healthcare, and Anant’s animal sanctuary, Vantara. The event featured themed parties and performances by international artists like the Backstreet Boys, David Guetta, Katy Perry, and Pitbull.
Radhika chose a custom gown by Robert Wun for the initial event of her second pre-wedding celebration.
The chiffon gown featured a special detail: it was adorned with excerpts from a love letter Anant wrote to Radhika when they were both 22 years old. Speaking to Vogue about the gown, Radhika shared, "He wrote me this long letter for my birthday about what I mean to him. I wanted it for posterity—I wanted to be able to show it to my kids and grandkids and say, ‘This is what our love was."

Radhika and Anant's journey to marriage began with a 'roka' ceremony in 2022, followed by a formal engagement in 2023. Earlier this year, they kicked off their wedding celebrations in Jamnagar, Gujarat, attended by dignitaries from across India and around the world.
