20 years on, these 12 iconic dialogues from 'Lakshya' continue to inspire confused millennials

At a time when most films focused on ideal characters, Farhan Akhtar chose to make a film, penned by his father Javed Akhtar, about a directionless, jobless, and confused millennial who joins the Indian Army and transforms his life. To this day, it remains one of the best fictional portrayals of the Indian Army.

A lot of critics often point out how the film was way ahead of its time. Perhaps, that is the reason why it didn't work quite well at the box office. The 2004 Bollywood film starring Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta among others is often credited with providing clarity and inspiration to millennials who were confused about their career paths, and twenty years later, it continues to do so. When Karan in the film sang, Mai Aisa Kyu Hoon, we all asked ourselves the same question too, and probably still do.

Here are some of the brilliant dialogues from the film that continue to inspire confused millennials in life and career.
