Industrialist Harsh Goenka has responded to a viral video that showcases a store selling replicas of Nita Ambani’s Rs 500-crore emerald necklace for just Rs 178. The necklace, originally worn by Nita Ambani during the pre-wedding celebrations of her son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, has gained widespread attention due to this affordable imitation.
The viral video, which has garnered over 360k views on X, shows a jeweller in Jaipur selling the necklace replicas in various colors, including red, green, white, and black. The jeweller says, “Nita Ambani ji’s necklace is available for just Rs 178. I want you to give a gist of the price and the products that we sell. Customers are asking us to reveal the price. Only wholesale, no retail.”
Reacting to the video, Harsh Goenka commented, “Ab kya boloon! #marketing.” His reaction has sparked a series of responses from social media users. One user remarked, “Well india is best country for copy and paste,” while another reflected on the prevalence of such practices, recalling, “Anyone remembers Taimur dolls? Even a kid was not left from this. Sad!” A third user noted, “Sir!! Hypnotic Appeal…… Knowing it one can’t allow it to influence the mind ….. Marketing strategy know it well than one can come out of it.”
During the pre-wedding celebrations in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, Nita Ambani was also seen wearing a significant diamond ring known as the Mirror of Paradise. According to Daily Mail, the Ambanis spent approximately $120 million (around Rs 1,259 crore) for the three-day festivities.
The extravagant event, hosted by billionaire Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita, featured appearances by top Bollywood celebrities and a live performance by pop star Rihanna. Global VIPs such as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump with her husband Jared Kushner were also in attendance.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to marry in July, with another pre-wedding celebration being hosted in Italy this week. Celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor with their daughter Raha, Ranveer Singh, and cricket icon MS Dhoni are among those attending. Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother, industrialist Anil Ambani, was also seen at Mumbai’s Kalina airport. Radhika Merchant, along with her parents Viren and Shaila Merchant, was spotted leaving for the venue.
