Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, "Munjya" is the latest addition to the horror comedy universe created by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik. Starring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, and Mona Singh, the movie tells the tale of the legend of Munjya, drawing inspiration from Indian folklore. It was released solo in theatres on June 7, 2024.

Despite not starting with a bang, "Munjya" has garnered positive feedback from both critics and fans. The film's lead actors, Sharvari and Abhay Verma, play the characters Bella and Bittu, respectively, while Mona Singh plays the role of Pammi. The cast also includes Sathyaraj, Suhas Joshi, Bhagyashree Limaye, and others.

Once its theatrical run concludes, "Munjya" will make its way to digital platforms. According to media reports, the movie, produced by Dinesh and Amar under Maddock Films, is set to release on Netflix or Hotstar. However, the official release date for its digital premiere is yet to be confirmed, typically happening around 45 to 60 days after its theatrical release.

Sharvari In Munjya

Sharvari, in an interview with ANI, shared insights into her character in "Munjya." She described her character as a modern girl striving to achieve her dreams, a portrayal many girls can relate to. Sharvari added that her character's dating life is also portrayed realistically, making it relatable to many viewers.

The movie has been certified U/A by the Central Board and has a runtime of 2 hours and 3 minutes. Additionally, it features a cameo appearance by Shraddha Kapoor, which is believed to blend seamlessly with the elements of the Stree-Munjya universe, hinting at the possibility of a crossover film in the future.
