One user shared, “#MahaRaja is not without flaws; saying any of it here will be a spoiler. This movie will work if you go and watch it without reading anything about it. If you haven't seen the trailer, then it will feel even more interesting to watch.”

Another review read, “#Maharaja is not a feel good or social message or entertaining movie. Book your tickets after knowing about the director's previous movie #KuranguBommai I witnessed couples and families feel uncomfortable with the movie.”

Storyline:

The movie's plot centres around a barber seeking revenge after his home is broken into. He informs the police that someone has stolen his "Lakshmi," though it’s unclear whether Lakshmi is a person or an object. The film delves into his quest to find Lakshmi, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.

"Maharaja" features a strong supporting cast, including Abhirami, Bharathiraja, Anurag Kashyap, Munshikanth, and Mamta Mohandas. The film is produced by Jagadish Palanisamy and Sudham Sundaram under Passion Studios and marks Vijay Sethupathi's 50th film in the industry.

Despite the acclaim, the intense themes and brutal scenes have led many to question its suitability for family viewing, making it a challenging watch for some audiences.
