Following their wedding, pictures and videos from Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's big day have been going viral on social media. In a now-viral video, Zaheer is seen kissing Sonakshi affectionately and touching Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha's feet as a sign of respect after signing the wedding papers. The video, which was shared by celebrity paparazzo Varinder Chawla, shows Shatrughan and Poonam giving their blessings to Zaheer.

 In front of their families, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal were married in a civil ceremony. Sonakshi looked stunning in an off-white sari with minimal jewelry. Her hair bun was adorned with white roses. Zaheer on the other hand could be seen in a white kurta.

Taking to Instagram, the two shared a bunch of photos and wrote in the caption, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever. Sonakshi Zaheer. 23.06.2024.”

Will Sonakshi Sinha Convert To Islam?

Confirming that Sonakshi will not convert to Islam, Zaheer’s father recently told the Free Press Journal that,  "It will have neither Hindu or Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.” He added, “She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever”.

He also told FPJ, “I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”

For the unversed, Sonakshi and Zaheer dated for 7 years before getting married on 24th June 2024.
