A video has surfaced on social media showing reckless driving on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, also known as Atal Setu. In the video posted on X, at least four people can be seen travelling on a Toyota Innova SUV on the Atal Setu, with two of them leaning out through its windows.

The video also showed that the passengers in the SUV had masked its number, with some kind of sticker, to avoid being identified.

The incident on the busy Seabridge was filmed by another passenger behind them.

After realising that they are being filmed, the two men leaning out of the SUV can be seen showing victory signs to the camera.

Video goes viral

"Absolutely zero basic common sense in these folk driving down the MTHL(Atal Setu). And see how the number plate is covered with stickers," Cyrus Dhabhar who posted the video on X, wrote.

What Mumbai Traffic Police said

Dhabhar who tagged Mumbai Police and Mumbai Traffic Police on the post, said that he wasn't expecting them to do anything about it, as usual.

Responding to the post, the Mumbai Traffic Police said "We have informed Wadala Traffic Division of the necessary action."

Atal Setu

Atal Setu, which is about 21.8 km long, making it the longest sea bridge in India was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January this year.

The six-lane bridge is about 16.5 km in length over sea and about 5.5 km on land.

It provides faster connectivity to the Mumbai International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport and will also reduce the travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India.

However, soon after it was open to the public the Atal Setu had turned into Mumbai's latest selfie spot with crowds flocking there just to click photos, at times even in the middle of the road, blocking traffic.
