Scotland's ancient stone circles were built to defend from aliens, claims paranormal investigator

There is a large section of people around us who believe that ancient humans have been contacted by aliens. According to the proponents of such theories, the relics of several unexplained ancient megastructures are proof of such contacts between humans and aliens in the past. One such place that has attracted UFO and alien enthusiasts from across the world is Skara Brae, a prehistoric settlement in modern-day Scotland.

What is Skara Brae

Located on the Bay of Skaill in the Orkney archipelago, Skara Brae is a stone-built Neolithic settlement that is believed to have been occupied from roughly 3180 BC to about 2500 BC. It consisted of ten clustered houses, made of flagstones, in earthen dams that provided support for the walls.

Signs of aliens in Skara Brae

There are others who argue that such ancient stone circles were designed to ward off extraterrestrial invasions. According to Ron Halliday, a paranormal investigator, sites like the Skara Brae settlement and Maeshowe, an old cairn on Mainland Orkney, came about as a response to possible alien landings. "There are some Pictish stones with pictures of folk kind of fleeing away from things. I thought maybe this kind of thing represents an attack from the sky," he said.

Protection from nuclear war

According to him, the possible use of these ancient structures has never been satisfactorily explained by modern archaeologists. "There are questions about whether Skara Brae or Maeshowe on Orkney were intended as protection from nuclear war and an ancient battle with aliens. These structures could represent something entirely different from what some archaeologists make out they are," he said.

He also suggested that the brochs—stone towers—might have connections to alien invaders, and their beginnings are similar to the construction of the pyramids. "These could be signals to aliens to attract their attention or to recognize that we knew there were aliens out there and that we had been visited by them," he argued.
