Viral Video: In a humorous twist, a boy has gained widespread attention by riding a donkey through the streets, as captured in a viral Instagram video. The clip shows the boy, adorned with curtain string lights, happily navigating on the donkey, which also has its face decorated with the same lights. 

The scene becomes even more amusing when a man on the roadside requests a lift from the boy, while two younger kids look on in fascination. 

The background music features a reprised version of "Amplifier," originally by Dutch-Pakistani singer-songwriter and rapper Imran Khan, with the new rendition composed by singer and composer Raghav Sachar. This entertaining video has amassed 2,638,365 likes and counting, though the location remains unknown.

Social media users have been thoroughly entertained by the clip, with many guessing that it might be from Pakistan. Some tagged friends, humorously suggesting they should make similar entries at their weddings. One comment read, “Digital Pakistan.”

Highlighting the cultural significance of donkeys in Pakistan, a notable instance from 2022 features a groom named Azlan gifting a donkey to his bride, Warisha, at their wedding. Warisha, who admires donkeys for their hard-working nature, was delighted by the unique gift. The couple even planned to adopt the baby donkey. This heartwarming story has garnered over 400,000 views.

According to the Pakistan Economic Survey 2023-24, the donkey population in Pakistan has seen a steady increase, rising by 1.72% to reach 5.9 million during the fiscal year 2023-24. The survey, which was released on June 12, provides a comprehensive overview of the country's economic achievements in the past fiscal year. .

The data reveals that the donkey population was 5.5 million in 2019-2020, 5.6 million in 2020-21, 5.7 million in 2021-22, and 5.8 million in 2022-23, before reaching 5.9 million in 2023-24 .

In contrast, the populations of horses and mules, close relatives of donkeys, have remained unchanged at 0.4 million and 0.2 million, respectively, for the past five years.
