On June 27, 2024, Kalki 2898 AD, the highly anticipated dystopian film directed by Nag Ashwin, was released worldwide. The hit movie, which stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and other actors, debuted to enormous box office receipts and positive word-of-mouth. The film has a lot to offer, and for those who are unaware, there will also be a sequel and the tone for the sequel is established in Kalki 2898 AD's post-credit scene.

The Complex tries to take serum out of Sumathi by force after learning that she is more than 150 days pregnant. With Ashwatthama's assistance, Sumathi escapes the lab and is brought to Shambala. In order to obtain 5 million units from the Complex, Bhairava wishes to kidnap her. The doctors however only get one drop of serum.
Counselor Bani meets Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan) in the Kalki 2898 AD post-credit scene while carrying the single drop of serum.
Yaskin (Kamal Haasan) injects the serum, causing a striking transformation that shows the effects of the serum. After seeing the dramatic change, Counselor Bani realises why Yaskin wanted the serum so dedicatedly. With only a single drop of serum, Yaskin can see the Mahabharata fighter Arjuna's Gandiva bow (created by Lord Shiva, Gandeev is a celestial weapon that Arjuna used during the Kurukshetra War.) clearly in front of him and he lifts it slightly to demonstrate his increased power and ability.
Following his physical enhancements, Yaskin tells Counselor Bani that he will go after Sumati personally. Therefore, it is likely that Sumati and Yaskin will appear in the upcoming Kalki 2898 AD sequel.
Sumati is abducted by Bhairava at the end of Kalki 2898 AD, and this sets up an intense battle in the follow-up.
Additionally, Bhairava, Ashwatthama, and Yaskin might engage in an epic battle.
Nearly 60% of the much awaited "Kalki 2898 AD" sequel has been shot, marking a noteworthy accomplishment. The majority of the sequences have been shot; many important moments have been successfully completed by the production team.
This news was shared by the film's production house, Vyjayanti Films' head, C Ashwini Dutt. He said, "#Kalki2898AD part 2 has been completed almost 60%. Only major portions are left to shot. We are not decided on release date (sic)."
The release date for Kalki 2898 AD sequel is yet to be announced.
