Homemade Onion Rings Recipe

Ingredients

2 onions

1 cup all-purpose flour

4 tablespoons corn flour

2 cups bread crumbs

1 teaspoon mixed herbs

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup water

oil for frying

Instructions

  1. To prepare onion rings, start by slicing the top of an onion and peeling away the skin. Now carefully slice the onion into discs and then separate them into individual rings.
  2. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour and corn flour, and season it with mixed herbs, paprika, garlic powder and salt.
  3. Add water to the mix and make a smooth lump-free batter.
  4. Dip an individual ring into the batter and coat well.
  5. Now coat the batter-dipped onion ring with bread crumbs, Toss and roll the ring in the bread crumbs and press down gently to ensure the ring is fully covered.
  6. Repeat the process until all the rings are evenly coated with the paste and the crumbs.
  7. Heat at least 2 inches of oil on medium heat and fry the rings until they turn golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with your favourite dipping sauce and enjoy.
