Sonakshi Sinha is set to tie the knot with long-time beau Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, as per reports. While no confirmation has been given by the actress of the families of the bride and groom, the wedding cards have been leaked online.

While Sonakshi Sinha’s father Shatrughan Sinha is well-known by the public, not much is known about the groom’s family.

While Zaheer Iqbal made his acting debut  in 'Notebook', alongside Pranutan Bahl,  his father Iqbal Ratansi is involved in business, and his sister, Sanam Ratansi, is known as a celebrity stylist and costume designer.

Iqbal Ratansi, father of Zaheer Iqbal, resides in Mumbai and has three children: two sons and a daughter. Zaheer Iqbal is the eldest son, while his younger brother Mohammad Ladha holds a degree in computer science. 

Iqbal Ratansi, a well-known jeweler in Mumbai, expanded into real estate by establishing Stelmac Developers Private Limited in 2005, where he held the position of director until 2011. He later entered the sector with Blackstone Housing and Infrastructure Private Limited.

In February 2016, Ratansi launched Film Tools, Lights, and Grip, which provides lighting equipment to Bollywood. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he established Zahero Media and Internet Private Limited. Ratansi also maintains connections in the Hindi film industry.

Ratansi is close friends with Salman Khan and has stood by him during tough times

He is a close and cherished friend of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who has been a steadfast supporter through thick and thin.

Iqbal Ratansi also provided financial assistance to Salman Khan during the 1980s. Salman Khan himself reportedly acknowledged this in a now-deleted Twitter post in 2018. Salman wrote, 

"Iqbal Ratansi used to work like my personal bank during my teenage years. Even today I have a loan of Rs 2011 from him. Thank God that to date he has not asked for interest on his loan..'
